FUND RAISING FOR SCHOOL BLOCK CONSTRUCTION AT MSAWA PRIMARY SCHOOL IN T/A MALANDA, NKHATA-BAY, MALAWI

Youth Empowerment Towards Development (YETOD) is a Youth Led Organization that works as a Community Foundation in Malawi. We are currently raising funds for the construction of a School block at Msawa Primary School in T/A Malanda, Nkhata Bay district, Malawi. The contributions made through this Go Fund Me will contribute towards the project. 

Currently, Msawa Primary School accommodates a student population of 500, but has no single properly constructed classroom block on its premises. The school initially had one classroom block which was razed down by heavy downpour. As a result, lessons are currently conducted under trees or within makeshift shelters that pose safety risks. This dire situation severely hampers the education of young people that have immense potential. During the rainy season, classes are frequently suspended, further disrupting their learning journey.

In light of this, we have embarked on a fundraising campaign to construct a school block at Msawa Primary School. By investing in this project, we believe we will significantly enhance the quality of education provided and mitigate the prevalent issue of school dropouts. The local communities surrounding the school have already demonstrated their commitment by pledging to contribute locally available resources such as sand, bricks, and labor, which are vital components of the construction project.
