REVIEW MEETING WITH COMPREHENSIVE SEXUALITY EDUCATION (CSE)

Yesterday we had a district Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) Review Meeting with CSE Facilitators, the DYO, and DHO team at Nkhakar Lodge.

The meeting appreciated some of the challenges the Facilitators are facing on CSE implementation. Hence, success Stories registered and suggested some recommendations on how we can move on in 2023.

One of the great successful stories registered is the high re-admission of young people in schools who dropped out for various reasons including those early pregnancies, and marriages, young people are able to access some health services freely in some health centers. However, one quite notable challenge registered is limited resources for facilitation e.g. flip charts, markers, etc.

Facilitators were encouraged to make full coordination with other different stakeholders working in their communities to join efforts.

FUND RAISING FOR SCHOOL BLOCK CONSTRUCTION AT MSAWA PRIMARY SCHOOL IN T/A MALANDA, NKHATA-BAY, MALAWI

We are currently raising funds for the construction of a School block at Msawa Primary School in T/A Malanda, Nkhata Bay district, Malawi. The contributions made through this Go Fund Me will contribute towards the project.  Currently, Msawa Primary School accommodates a student population of 500, but has no single properly constructed classroom block on its premises. The school initially had one classroom block which was razed down by heavy downpour. As a result, lessons are currently conducted under trees or within makeshift shelters that pose safety risks.
